Hello everyone, I am so sorry that I have not been able to keep you all up to date with creative things.
This past few years have been very difficult for my family and myself, my parents passing our young Grandson having leukaemia (I am pleased to say is now in remission) and my dear husband and partner of over 42 years was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2023, his medication has made him very tired and recently he had a heart attack, as a result, I have been so very anxious and I have not been able to produce as much new artwork as I would have liked.
With all of the issues going on in the world today, I feel that I have to create something positive for people, including myself, to latch on to and go forward…2027 my work will be very personal to me, but something I have wanted to share for a long time – and the time is NOW!
Meet my MUSE “The Return of the Witch” Please don’t think it’s about anything dark, it’s not, it’s about returning to our roots…remembering the real world! My Art will never been a dark place, for me it is my guiding light, my respite,
I hope you can feel the positive energy too…x
She is a reminder of our humanity, our abilities to make and create, to use Mother Nature’s gifts to heal and feed our families. We will never be able to rid ourselves of technology, it is now a part of our everyday lives, but we should NEVER allow ourselves to forget where we came from.
The image is full of symbolism, and most of all hope for human kind.
The Raven for premonition, Owl-Wisdom, Hare- rebirth, Moth for transformation, Hawthorn, offers protection and a veil into the farerie realm. Opening of the mind, the light of lost memories, clear quartz for future sight, Raven skull for grief and loss. the Rams horns represent spiritual awakening, divine sacrifice and strength! I hope you understand her , the poem I wrote to acompany her is below :-
“WHAT IF WE RISE”? The Return of the Witch.
“She is within every woman, and every free soul”
It is time to awaken, time to return before it’s too late!
Remember what we were taught by our ancestors, it is still within, hiding in our hearts.
Persecuted by those fearful of their gifts.
The sacrifice they made must not be forgotten.
Remember, the power of truth, the love of the Mother.
It is TIME for the true witch to return!
